Principal's Welcome
WELCOME (BACK) TO MILLIKAN!
By: Dr. Stacie Alexander, Ed.D.
Dear Millikan High School Community,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new principal of Millikan High School. I am honored to join this thriving school community and look forward to serving alongside you, as we continue Millikan’s legacy of excellence and integrity.
I have a long professional history with the Long Beach Unified School District. I began my career as a Special Education teacher in 1999. In 2006, I transitioned to the Office of Special Education, as a Teacher on Special Assignment, supporting multiple elementary, middle, and high schools. In 2013, I was promoted to Assistant Principal at Poly High School. From there, I served as Vice-Principal at Cabrillo High School from 2017 to 2023 and, this past year, at Wilson High School.
My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University, a teaching credential and Master’s degree in Special Education from California State University, Long Beach, and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, also from San Diego State University.
My experiences as a teacher, administrator, and lifelong learner have prepared me to lead our school with a commitment to academic excellence, inclusivity, and student success. I believe in fostering a learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
Thank you in advance for your support. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I invite you to partner with us in your students’ education. Your involvement is vital to our students' success, and I look forward to working closely with you to ensure Millikan High School is an exceptional place for learning and growth. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and am committed to leading with integrity and passion, with a genuine dedication to our students’ success. I look forward to joining this school community, building relationships and trust, growing professionally, and supporting students with each of you. I invite you to share your thoughts, ideas, and concerns with me.
Together, we will create a school where every student achieves greatness.
